Fiery Crash on I-220

A multi-vehicle accident at Industrial Drive in Jackson has two lanes of I-220 shut down. One of the 18-wheelers involved has caught fire.

The Jackson Police Department is reporting:

“JPD is investigating a multi-vehicle accident on I-220N near Industrial Dr. At least two of the vehicles are semi-trucks, one of which caught fire. Injuries are reported, however none yet appear life-threatening. Cause is not yet known.”

Traffic is still backed up.  Plan an alternate route. More as this story develops.
