Chevy goes home
Last updated:
You may remember the story of Chevy, the loving family pet that was shot Saturday night near Nailor Road.
The family put out a plea to find out why someone shot their dog after it uncharacteristically ran off after being let out. The family understands an unknown animal in the yard can be scary, but they believe Chevy is far too well mannered and tempered to be a threat to anyone. Plus, the bullet entered at her right rear hip and exited through the right side of her neck, meaning she was shot while walking or running away from the shooter.
There is good news. Chevy came home today after five days of recovery. A much more chipper Chevy returned to her family and is settling in nicely.
If you have information on who may have shot Chevy, please call the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at 601-636-1761, or send a message to the Vicksburg Daily News on our Facebook page.
