Vicksburg ninth-grade girls basketball team wins Little Six Championship

Vicksburg freshman girls basketball team won the Little Six Championship today as they defeated Northwest Rankin 40-29.

The Gators took the lead early in the first quarter as they showed how great their offense is with constant lay ups that ended the first half with a 13-3 lead.

The Gators continued their lead throughout the second quarter, as Vicksburg continued to add points on the board with free throws and short jump shots. The halftime score was 23-11 with the Gators ahead.

The Gators played as a team all night as they spread the ball around throughout the game and came out on top with the victory.

The win makes the first Little Six Championship for the Gators in over 20 years. The Gators celebrate with a perfect season, finishing the year undefeated 16-0.
