Attempted armed robbery on Clay Street in Vicksburg

Miller’s Tire Mart, at 1709 Clay St. in Vicksburg, was the scene of an attempted armed robbery Friday afternoon.

According to preliminary police reports, two black males brandished a weapon in the robbery attempt before fleeing on foot on Fillmore Street.

The Vicksburg Police Department dispatched officers to the scene around 4:45 p.m. and they are investigating.
