The University of Mississippi landed a big offensive lineman from the 2021 class over the weekend.

Micah Pettus announced Sunday on Twitter that he will become a Rebel.

Pettus is a three-star athlete and the No. 2 ranked offensive lineman in the state of Alabama. He is 6-foot-8-inches tall and weighs 318 pounds. He graduates from Sparkman High School in Harvest, Alabama, in 2021. Last year, he helped his team to an impressive 8-3 season.

The Ole Miss Rebels are returning four out of five starting offensive lineman from last season, so it’s not clear if Pettus will start during his freshman year. He still has one more season to play for Sparkman before playing at Ole Miss in the Southeastern Conference, one of the toughest college leagues in the country.

He will be playing under first year Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin who joined the Rebels earlier this year.
