Warren County woman seriously injured in Oak Ridge Road accident

A Warren County woman was seriously injured in a single car accident Friday afternoon on Oak Ridge Road.

Just after 5 p.m. Friday, Warren County deputies and Vicksburg and Warren County EMS/firefighters responded to crash in the 1800 block of Oak Ridge Road near the Ver Beck YMCA.

A 2014 Cadillac SUV was headed southbound on Oak Ridge when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled over several times and struck a tree, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace. The driver, Trivia Watts, 47, of Warren County, was ejected from the vehicle.

Watts was transported directly to the University of Mississippi Medical Center via a Vicksburg Fire Medic unit as the closest helicopter was more than an hour away.

Sheriff Pace said Ms. Watts’ injuries are very serious but are not believed to be life threatening.
