Warren County to fly POW/MIA flag
Monday in its regular meeting, the Warren County Board of Supervisors voted to fly the POW/MIA flag together with the American flag in front of the County Courthouse and in the county boardroom.
Once Mississippi has approved a new state flag, it will be added.
The idea was proposed by District 3 Supervisor Shawn Jackson whose father was a Purple Heart recipient.
The POW/MIA flag was first manufactured in 1972. In 1989, it became the only flag to fly in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda in Washington, D.C. Find out more at the National League of POW/MIA Families website.
