Vicksburg High School fell short of a victory just minutes before the game ended Friday in a hard fought 34-32 battle with Natchez High School.

The Gators played well offensively while being led by freshman quarterback Ronnie Alexander who had two touchdowns on the night. Shakori Regan, who usually plays quarterback, was switched to running back where he had a long touchdown run.

VHS athlete Laurence Sullivan also has two scores on the night to help the Gators achieve a season high of 32 points.

The Gators showed much improvement from last week’s loss to Biloxi, and they will continue to build their program to find their first victory. The team fell to 0-3 on the season.

VHS plays at home next week facing South Pike.
