Vicksburg High defeats Warren Central 73-41

The Vicksburg High School Gators defeated crosstown rivals Warren Central Vikings in a 73-41 win Saturday.

Taylon Smith led the Gators in the victory scoring 24 points in the blowout win over the Vikings. He also played great defense as he helped his team to the win.

Sean Hardy also stepped up for VHS and managed to put up 14 points. He also had six rebounds Saturday.

Lacaris Johnson and Keshawn Brown were both critical players for Vicksburg in the match. Johnson had 8 points and Brown finished with 9.

Del’Javien Harried was the key play for the Warren Central Vikings, putting up 15 points in the game. Travis Smith and Wade Sims also played well as they each scored 10 points.

The Gators will be back at home Tuesday to face Yazoo City.
