Multiple WC track runners qualify for the regional meet

Warren Central High’s girls track team had an outstanding performance last week as multiple runners placed in the top three of their events, including two freshmen.

“It was a really tough meet, and I’m proud of these girls for working hard and competing,” head coach Heather Casey said. “We have good senior leadership and some 9th graders that’s moved up and made their presence known.”

Below are the results of the runners who placed at the meet:

  1. Alexis Jefferies – Third place in triple jump and third place in 100 m hurdles.
  2. Tylah Magee – Third place in 400 m dash.
  3. Gabrelle McLeod – Third place Discus.
  4. Jae’la Smith – Third place in 300 m hurdles.
  5. Jaydn Hadnot – Fourth place in 100 m hurdle.
  6. Benicia Gross – Fourth place in 300 m hurdles.
  7. Alex Lawson – First place in the high jump, third in 100 m dash and fourth in the 200 and 400 m dash.
