Warren Central High School athletes Samuel Terrett and Samantha Smith were awarded MVP of the Viking cross country teams.

Smith and Terrett were presented the awards on Friday at the school’s athletic banquet in front of friends and family.

Terrett won the award on the boy’s side, where he now holds the 4k record. He also received the boys Coach’s Award as well to go along with his MVP status.

Smith, who is also senior runner, earned the girls Coach’s Award for her gifted athleticism this season. She improved her time by over two minutes this year and was instrumental in the Vikings’ success.

Both Smith and Terrett were well-coached by Nicole Solis, who was thrilled to have such great athletes on the team.
