The Mississippi Lottery Corporation (MLC) announced it’s April transfer to the state.

A total transfer of $13,340,558.99 was made to the Lottery Proceeds Fund in the state treasury on Friday. For the fiscal year, the total now stands at $114,993,099.30 for 2021.

MLC President Tom Shaheen stated, “We are very pleased with April’s transfer to the state,” he added, “To date for FY 2021, the MLC has sent $80 million to road and bridge needs around the state, along with $34,993,099.30 to the Education Enhancement Fund!”

The first $80 million in net proceeds will go to road and bridge infrastructure, anything above that will go toward the Education enhancement Fund. This funding was put in place per the Alyce G Clarke Mississippi Lottery Law.
