Port Gibson native Jacory Rankin is striving to continue making a name for himself on the football field as he rises up the depth chart with a new team.

Rankin now plays for Mississippi Valley State University where he is an impact wide receiver on the team. He played in all three of the team’s spring football games this season and he also played a major role on kick returns for MVSU.

Before joining MVSU, Rankin played two seasons at Jones Community College where he helped the Bobcats to a successful 7-3 season.

Rankin is well-known locally for his playing days at Port Gibson High, where he led the Blue Waves in receiving and reaching a 10-4 record.

Rankin’s upcoming fall season is one to look forward to as he has gained plenty of experience on the field now and many eyes will be on him as he continues to shine.
