Mississippi State University baseball team defeated Virginia Commonwealth University 16-4 on Saturday.

Christian MacLeod tied his career high in strikeouts as he finished the night with 12. He struck out five batters within the first two innings.

Kamren James, Tanner Allen, and Rowdey Jordan all had three hits for the Bulldogs in the victory. Allen also had three RBIs.

The Bulldogs racked up a total of 14 hits and will face VCU again on Sunday at 7 p.m.
