Mississippi State University baseball fell short of a victory against Notre Dame in a tough 9-1 loss.

Now that the Bulldogs took a loss, they are now forced to go into game three of the series with everything on the line.

Sunday’s game remained close until the fourth inning when David LaManna hit a home run for the Fighting Irish which put up three run scores.

The Bulldogs are now fighting to go to the College World Series but they must defeat Notre Dame on Monday at 6 p.m.
