Woman arrives at hospital with possible gunshot wound Sunday evening

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, Vicksburg Warren E-911 received a call advising that a 20-year-old woman was being rushed to Merit Health River Region by a private vehicle from an address in the vicinity of Highway 80.

The woman was reportedly bleeding profusely and is believed to have suffered a gunshot wound. It is unclear the exact nature of the woman’s injuries, however it has been reported that she is expected to fully recover.

Investigators Sam Winchester and Zack Primeaux will be leading the Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigation into this incident.
