VICKSBURG, Miss. (Vicksburg Daily News) – After starring in his freshman season at the University of Southern Mississippi, Brandon native Reed Trimble has officially signed to Baltimore Orioles.

“One of my dreams have been fulfilled. I still got others to work to, but hearing my name called out was really awesome and what a blessing it has all been, this whole journey. I wouldn’t change it for anything,” Trimble said on Glenn Clark Radio.

Trimble had a total of 17 home runs this season which helped lead USM to 40-21 season along with 72 RBIs under head coach Scott Berry.

Trimble officially signed with the Orioles on Wednesday and is set to showcase his talents on the pro level.
