Warren Central takes victory over Forest Hill in Friday night’s Red Carpet Bowl

Warren Central High School football team took home a 27-0 victory against Forest Hill on Friday night in the 59th annual Red Carpet Bowl Classic.
Jaevion Mims played a key role on defense, as well as in the Viking’s victory by catching three interceptions throughout the night, which eventually led to one being taken back into the end zone for a touchdown.
Tj Thompson and Trey Hall combined efforts in the first quarter by Hall driving in a 27 yard touchdown after a 30 yard run by Thompson. Hall came back later in the game and scored again for the Vikings after catching a 61 yard pass by quarterback Jack Wright . Hall would finish the game with 122 total yards.
As the game continued into the second quarter, the Viking managed to add more points to the board after Darius Carter punched it in from four yards out.
WC’s defense remained steady all night and was able to issue multiple stops to Forest Hill. Warren Central’s Roy Qualls and Layton Burke contributed sacks to the Vikings defense.
The 27-0 victory in their season opener gave fans a view of what to expect from Warren Central as they continue their season and face more opponents.
