Warren Central High School football team took their first loss of the season on Friday against the defending state champs Oak Grove with a score of 37-20.

The Warriors scored in the opening of the game and eventually pushed the lead to 16-0 by halftime.

The Vikings were able to respond in the third quarter when Mark Gray ran for a short touchdown.

WC would eventually find the end zone two more times with Jack Wright throwing a touchdown and Trey Hall grabbing a score on the ground and in the air. By then, the Warriors capitalization on opportunities led them to the win.

WC will travel to Brandon next Friday in another district match.
