VHS grabbed a road win over Jackson Academy on Thursday

Vicksburg High School boy’s basketball team traveled to Jackson Academy on Thursday and came back with a 53-49 victory.

Kameron Brown led the Gators with 14 points, followed by teammates Davian Williams and Malik Franklin who scored 12 each.

JA hung in tight with the young Gators, but VHS played to the very end and came out on top.

Sophomore Tyler Carter put up five points while Kealon Bass dropped three. Tyreese Ford, Markel Derby and Jalen Banks each added two on the night.

VHS will travel to play the defending 4A State Champions Lanier on Saturday.
