Gray scored 31 points to lead St. Aloysius over Central Hinds on Tuesday

St. Aloysius boy’s basketball team took down Central Hinds 66-47 on Tuesday night in a big win for the Flashes.

Central Hinds came out hot in the first quarter by quickly knowing down two 3-pointers and eventually went up by 10 points.

The Flashes quickly responded with key shots coming from Ahmad Stewart and Padre Gray, Jr.  to help tie things up at 15 at the end of the first quarter. By halftime the Flashes expanded their lead to 27-22.

Gray led the Flashes with 31 points on the night followed by Lazaveon Sylvester who scored 14.

St. Aloysius took over the second half by putting hard defense on CH and continuing to get to the basket on offense.

Stewart finished with nine points on the night and Will Keen added four.

The win brings the Flashes record to 8-7 on the year under head coach Anthony Lumpkin, Sr.
