Brandon Isabelle, 25, of Memphis, TN, is being held for allegedly killing the mother of his child and throwing their two-day-old infant in the Mississippi River.

According to court documents, Isabelle is charged with two counts of murder, aggravated kidnapping, murder in connection with kidnapping and tampering with evidence.

Danielle Hoyle, 27, was the mother of Isabelle’s child. She was found dead Tuesday with a gunshot wound to the head. According to reports, she was leaving her home to take her baby to the hospital for testing and was killed in the street in the Whitehaven neighborhood in Memphis, TN. Police say Isabelle knocked out the driver’s side window of her Chevy Cruze.

During questioning, Isabelle told police he lured Hoyle to the intersection of Sedgwick and Levi and shot her. Then, according to police, he took his infant to the north end of Mud Island where the Wolf River enters the Mississippi River and threw his baby and his weapon in the water. Isabelle then disposed of the car seat near a dumpster outside Whitehaven Walmart.

A statewide AMBER alert was issued for Isabelle’s infant, Kennedy Hoyle on Wednesday. Crews searched the boat ramp at the north end of Mud Island but the baby was not found by Thursday morning and is presumed dead.

Isabelle was arrested Wednesday and was given no bond. His arraignment hearing is Friday.

Inclement weather has suspended the search for the baby. MPD will continue the search when the weather conditions improve.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Kennedy or has any information relative to this incident, they are urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
