Flashes secure a 5-4 win over Heritage Academy on Friday

St. Aloysius pulled off a 5-4 win over Heritage Academy before falling short of a victory to D’lberville on Thursday.

Heritage took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and stayed on top for most of the night.

Midway through the game, Huskison doubled on a line drive where two runners scored and advanced HA’s lead to 4-0.

The Flashes got on the board in the sixth inning once Carson Smith grounded out to second baseman and Cole Autrey drove in the run .

Matthew Pitre eventually made a big play on a hard ground ball which led to two scores. At this point, the Flashes only trailed 4-3.

In the bottom of of seventh, Landon Stanchfield singled on a 2-2 count. Pitre and Autrey both got run scores and gave St. Aloysius the 5-4 win.

Pitre and Autrey both led with two hits on the night while Adam Francisco, Stanchfield, Smith and Ryan Steed all had one hit.

Pitre struck out four batters on the night and Nathaniel Moore struck out one.

Game 2

The Flashes took a 10-2 loss to D’lberville.

Francisco struck out seven batters. Smith, Conner Gaul and Francisco each had a hit.

The Flashes will travel to play South Panola on Friday.
