St. Aloysius and WC took losses on Monday

Both St. Aloysius and Warren Central took losses on Monday.

St. Aloysius game:

The St. Aloysius baseball team took a 5-3 district loss to Cathedral.

Both teams remained scoreless in the first inning. Cathedral got on the board first in the second inning and additionally scored on a passed ball.

Barrett Shows singled for the Flashes with Carter Magee getting the run score. At the end of the third inning, the score was standing 3-1 in favor of Cathedral.

The game would remain dry until the sixth inning with the Flashes unable to manage a comeback.

Magee, Conner Gaul and Carson Smith each had two hits for St. Aloysius.  Shows, JD Liggett, Matthew Pitre and Cole Autrey all had one hit. Adam Francisco struck out nine batters on the night.

The Flashes will travel to Cathedral on Friday.

Warren Central Game:

The Vikings took a tough 8-0 loss to Pearl.

Braxton McCurley and Preston Lynch each got on hit. Brooks Willoughby struck out eight batters.

The Vikings will travel to Pearl on Friday.
