Alcorn picked up three wins against Grambling over the weekend.

Alcorn State University softball team defeated Grambling State three times over the weekend.

In game one’s 11-3 win, Chloe Morgan led with three hits and two RBIs. Amari Ramsey also had three hits. Marsha Hunt, Genise Wells, and Desirea Lindsey each collected two hits.

On the mound, Lexi Veamoi struck out six batters.

In game two (8-2), Wells, Hunt, and Jillian Walters each had two hits. Wells also got a home run and Hunt finished with three RBIs.

Kiri Parker struck out eight batters.

In the final match, the Lady Braves took a 6-0 win over Grambling.

Kristian Edwards went perfect at the plate (3-3) with two RBIs. Tyesha Cole had three RBIs to go along with her three hits. Morgan got two hits as well.

Brenn Ursin struck out five batters.
