A young woman was trapped in the wreckage of her Eagle Lake home after a massive tree fell on it during the storm that came through Sunday night.

The woman was trapped for about an hour before responders could safely extricate her. Chris Libbey was first to arrive on the scene, followed by massive reinforcement from multiple agencies.

Fire Coordinator Jerry Briggs, Sheriff Martin Pace, Chris Kennedy with Bovina Fire Dept., Rescue, multiple EMS, deputies, county firefighters including Zack Hearn and former police officer Robert Kapp assisted at the scene.

Responders confirmed that the woman sustained serious injuries, but was in stable condition.
