Officer down, suspect on the run in Newton County

A police officer was killed in shooting took place on 51st Avenue in Meridian when the officer responded to a domestic violence call, according to the Meridian Star.

Dante Marquez Bender

The suspect has been identified as Dante Marquez Bender, 31, who was last seen driving a 2004 black Nissan Armada with a license plate that reads ‘IMANI’.

Bender is considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 1-855-642-5378.
