The family of a missing Alcorn County man that disappeared on June 22 has doubled the reward for information leading to his whereabouts.

On the morning of June 22, 77-year-old Wade Davis went for a walk with his dog, Buddy, in keeping with his usual routine.  That was the last time anyone would see Davis, though Buddy would be found a couple of weeks later by search and rescue crews combing the area for any signs of Davis.

The Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office, MBI, MDWF, National Guard and dozens of responders and volunteers have combed through 2,000 acres of land searching for Davis. Horses, canines, drones, planes and helicopters have all been utilized in the search effort.  Even Davis’ loyal boxer Buddy joined the search, but Davis has not been located.

Desperate for clues, the Davis family decided to double the reward offered for information from $5,000 to $10,000.  Shortly thereafter, Davis’ daughter Sharon Davis Clemmer shared on her Facebook page that a new witness had come forward claiming to have seen Davis on the morning his disappeared two miles away from the area searched.
