The Cincinnati Bengals placed Vicksburg native Ben Brown on injured reserve on Monday after a biceps injury.

Brown, who is in his rookie season with the team after starring at Ole Miss, went down late in the fourth quarter over the weekend in a 36-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals during the preseason opener.

The injury is not the first time Brown had to sit out in his football career. He missed a good portion of his senior year at Ole Miss when he suffered a torn bicep tendon after starting 40 straight games for the Rebels.

Ben Brown signed with the Bengals in April after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft. He is a graduate of St. Aloysius High School.
