The horrific head-on collision on Highway 61 just inside of Issaquena early Sunday morning claimed four lives.

Two of those lost are close family members of Alcorn State’s defensive lineman Tyler Smith. Lost are his mother, Kamille H. Smith, 43 and his 16-year-old sister, Kirstin A. Lucas. They were killed instantly when a southbound Honda Accord struck them head-on.

We hope the community will join us in prayer for the Smith family and for the Alcorn State family that is affected by this tragic event.
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saved those who are crushed in spirit.
