Two men are in custody after a Friday night shooting in Crystal Springs that left a man dead.

Latravious “Duke Williams” was riding with his mother and sister after the Crystal Springs High School homecoming game when he was struck in the head.

“I never did stop,” Williams’ mother told WLBT, Keisha Sparks, “I had to keep going. I drove my own son to the hospital.”

Williams was eventually transported to the University Medical Center and placed on life support but died at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Crystal Springs Police Chief Tony Hemphill has not released details about the two suspects and a motive has not been established yet.

Williams was 20 years old at the time of his death.
