St. Aloysius girl’s basketball team won their home opener against Greenville Christian on Tuesday in a 56-43 victory.

The Lady Flashes found themselves trailing 15-11 in the first quarter as McKenzie Cole got St. Al on the board a couple of times along with Madi Matthews.

Falyn Lusby stepped up in the second quarter as she knocked down a 3-pointer with the Lady Flashes trailing 27-23 at halftime.

A big third quarter for St. Al would help them take the lead as Matthews and Lusby took over things as they went up 38-32.

With Maddy McSherry coming stepping up late in the game, the Lady Flashes took home the win.

Lusby led the team with 16 points followed by Matthews who dropped 15 in the win. McSherry added 12 while Cole contributed seven. Emily Cook also scored five points.
