Marion Mace Coy, 1931 – 2022

A celebration of Life for will be held for Marion Mace Coy on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, 12:00 pm at Spring Hill Baptist Church. C.J. Williams Mortuary Services is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mother Marion Mace Coy was born on August 31, 1931, to two loving parents, the late Stanford B. Mace and the late Coniell Carson Mace in Hinds County. Marion headed God’s call home and received her wings on November 7, 2022, at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS., at the age of 91.
Mother Marion accepted Christ at a very young age. Mother Marion went back to school as an adult and graduated from high school. She was baptized at New Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Utica, Mississippi where she was a member until she joined Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she was an Elder, and the Head Mother of the Church. Mother Marion was a devoted member of Spring Hill Church until her passing. She was also a member of the Martha Chapter No. 3-O.E.S. where she served as a Worldly Matron.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Coy; grandchild, Jerrin Jerrod Blocker of Mississippi; her sisters Martha Faulkner, Mary Allen, Alice Margurie Jones, Wilma Jane Floyd, Lena Mae Robinson and Shirley Delk; and brothers, Fred Mace, Walter Warfield, Jr., Mose Warfield, Andrew Mace, and Charlie Wells.
She leaves many to cherish her memories: her two daughters, Gladys Mace Bryant of California, Linda Ruth Brown Blocker (Alex) of Alabama; one son, Evins Brown, Jr. (Brenda) of Mississippi: grandchildren, Andrea Mace Hearne (Thomas) and Linda Rechelle Bryant of California, April O’Neal of Mississippi, Marian and Chanel Blocker of Alabama, Brittany Brown Fuller (Donald) of Maryland, Victor Brown of Texas and Jakayla Brown of Mississippi: great grandchildren, Jada Banks Mace, Sydney Young, Zoey Dixon, and Paris Mace Hearne, all of California, Jo’Mon O’Neal of Mississippi, Ke’Mari Simone Smith of Texas, and Keveon Smith of Mississippi; great granddaughter, Ava Rose O’Neal of Mississippi; three special nephews, Reverend Frank Gardner, and T.J. Robinson, Jr. of Mississippi and Terrence Harris of Missouri: special nieces, Frankie Elaine Pellerin, Robbie Gardner More, Betty Ann Gardner, Dora Mae Mace Christian, all from Mississippi, Melba Faulkner Kennedy of Louisiana and Phyllis Faulkner Phillips of Nevada, Roshonda Robinson Powers of Georgia, Delena Robinson King of Texas, Rosie Marie Warfield of Texarkana, Lashanda Di’Cosmo of Oregon; special daughters, Earnestine Ellis of Mississippi, Susan and Gary Oviatt of Texas, Shirley Tankston Brown of Mississippi and Shirley Wilson of Mississippi; special son John Bryant, Jr. of Mississippi, Michael Silver of Tennessee; special grandchildren Lisa Silver of Alabama, Kallyn Debra Silver Boerner (Alex) of North Carolina, Heidi Restivo (Vin), Maddoz Restivo, and Liam Restivo of Texas; special sisters Dorthy La Point of Mississippi, Mary Moran Jackson of Mississippi, Della Mae Taylor Green of Mississippi; god children Michael Eastman, Gary Eastman and Lisa Moran Grayer of Mississippi; special friend Helen Bowman of Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Marion also leaves behind: one brother who still resides here in Vicksburg, Thomas Henry Warfield; six sisters to cherish her memory, Ethel Ruth Gardner, Ruby Lee Warfield, Wilma Jean Pendleton, Ruth Williams, Flora Williams, and Patty Mace Stewart, all of Mississippi; and a host of family and friends including Georgene Clark, Margaret Gaskin Segrest, Edward Segrest, all of Mississippi. She also leaves behind loving family members James Johnson and family all of California. Marion will be missed but we know that God loved her first so he called her home.
