Vicksburg native Nick Anderson is continuing to live the dream as he helped Tulane secure a AAC Championship on Saturday in a 45-28 win over the University of Central Florida.

Just a year ago, Anderson suffered injuries along with family tragedies as Tulane had a devastating 2-10 season. With the help of Anderson and his teammates, the Green Waves  are now 11-2 and are nationally ranked.

Anderson has a total of 108 tackles this season which is over 50 more than the previous year as he racked up six tackles last night along with a sack and being named as the defensive player of the game.

Out of all people he could’ve thanked after last night’s performance, Anderson made it a point to thank God.

Anderson’s job isn’t finished yet, although they has secured a AAC Championship, Tulane still has a future bowl game to play in the upcoming weeks.

Vicksburg is proud to have a true native getting everything he deserves in life through hard work and dedication.

We will be cheering for you Nick!
