VHS boys and girl’s basketball team defeated Provine on Friday

Vicksburg High School boys and girl’s basketball team defeated Provine on Friday night.

Girl’s Game:

The Missy Gators grabbed a 73-40 win with Janiah Caples leading the way with 16 points along with Layla Carter who put up 14 while Rodrianna Hall scored 13. Kalia Bland added 10 points and Kierra James scored six in the win while Cynia Johnson and Ja’Na Colenburg both scored three. Jelisa Tyler put up four points and Deme Elliot and Uriah Robinson both had two.

Boy’s Game:

The Gators got a 68-55 win over Provine with Tyler Henderson leading the team with 21 points. Malik Franklin added 14 on the board and Davian Williams scored 11. DeCorey Knight Jr. put up six points and Kamryn Bailey scored five while Jaylin Jackson added four. Mikey Johnson scored three points and Jalen Banks and Kealon Bass both finished with two.
