PCA qualifies for the state tournament after defeating Lee Academy 52-39

Porter’s Chapel Academy boy’s basketball team qualified for the state tournament after defeating Lee Academy 52-39 on Wednesday.

Ty Mack took over the first quarter after hitting multiple shots to put PCA up 12-5. By halftime the Eagles was up 29-18 after Lawson Selby, Noah Porter and Jase Jung got on the board.

Jung hit a 3-pointer coming out of halftime followed by Taylor LaBarre who who got in a quick score.

Selby and Chase Hearn both picked up some key points in the final quarter to help PCA secure the win.

Selby and Mack both put up 13 points and Jung finished with 12. Porter pitched in nine points with five assists and LaBarre ended the night with three. Hearn also finished with two on the board.

The Eagles are 17-6 on the year and they will play again on Friday against Greenville Christian at Kemper Academy.
