A driver crashed their vehicle into the wall near Divine Donuts on Highway 61 N. just before 3 p.m. The plates on the vehicle indicate the driver is from Lamar County.
The driver, who was reportedly on their way to a job in Texas, reported feeling tired and believed he had hit the brakes. Unfortunately, the mistake resulted in the vehicle crashing into the building, causing significant damage.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene to assess the damage and ensure the safety of those present.
Update: As of 3:18 p.m. the truck has been pulled from the building.
