Vicksburg High School softball team shutout Cleveland Central 13-0 on Friday night.

Things didn’t heat up until the second when Trinity McGloster stole a base at home for the Missy Gators’ first run. Amari Johnson would soon get a hit followed by an RBI from Jordan Grace to put the score at 3-0.

The third inning would be the key to the win for the Missy Gators, starting with Lili Kistler striking out a couple of batters.

VHS would pick up 10 runs in the third as Avery VanNorman got a hit that added two runs. Jordan Powell and Grace would both get RBIs while Trinity McGloster got a double to bring in another run.

A few steals by VHS would put the score at 13-0 as they took home the win.

Johnson went 2 for 2 with one RBI while Lexi Kistler, VanNorman, McGloster, and Grace each had a hit. J.Grace also had two RBIs.

Kistler struck out five in the win.

The Missy Gators will host Jim Hill on March 21.
