VHS defeated Canton 11-0 on Sunday

Vicksburg High School defeated Canton 11-0 on Sunday.

Chris Green got the first hit for the Gators and Mincer Minor IV followed up with RBI to get VHS on the board. Tyler Carter would then get a triple along with Connor Harrigill sacrificed to put the score at 3-0.

The Gators struck again in the third inning after doubles from Harrigill and Decedric Brown. With a sacrifice from Mickell Jones and a S West scoring off a passed ball, VHS went up 7-0.

Harrigill doubled again in the fourth and VHS would pick up three more runs from errors to take home the 11-0 win.

Brown an Minor both went 2 for 2 at the plate while Harrigill brought in three RBIs with his two hits. Green, Carter, Jones, Kearris Gilliam and Raymond Grey each had a hit.

Braylon Green struck out six batters while Chris Green struck out three and allowed no hits. Harrigill also struck out two.

VHS will travel to play Callaway on Tuesday.
