Warren Central High School baseball team’s season came to an end on Monday in a 10-9 loss to Gulfport.

The Vikings took a 3-0 lead in the second inning after a triple by Blake Channell. Multiple hits by the Admirals would lead to them picking up nine runs in the bottom of the second which was crucial to WC.

By the sixth inning, something clicked for the Vikings as they pulled in six runs after hits from Kylan Landers, Seth Sterling, and Connor Watkins along with a couple of walks while they only trailed 10-9.

WC still managed to fall short by one run as their season came to a heartbreaking end.

Watkins, Sterling, and Landers all had two hits while Channell had one and three RBIs.

The Vikings finished their season with a 17-11 record along with a district championship under head coach Randy Broome. They will graduate

Charlie Appleton, Kylan Landers, Reagan, Houston Williams, Blake Channell, Jacob Oldenburg, Jonathan Wells, Jack Wright, Seth Sterling, and Ismael Trujillo
