Lady Vikes defeated St. Aloysius 4-3 on Monday night
Warren Central High School softball team came away with a 4-3 win over St. Aloysius on Monday in a hard fought battle.
“We played well and we just made some mistakes in that one inning but we made some adjustments and our experience and senior leadership really helped us through,” WC Head Coach Brian Ellis said.
The Lady Vikes got on the board first shortly after a double from Sarah Cameron Fancher in the first inning.
Kyleigh Cooper, Ali Luke, Maddy McSherry, Kamryn Morson and Fancher all picked up hits early in the game but the score would remain 1-0 until the fourth inning.

As WC came up to bat in the bottom of the fourth, Kennadi McKay got a single which was followed by an inside-the-park home run by Makayla Jackson to put the score at 3-0.
St. Al would respond in the sixth when Megan Theriot, Cooper all got singles before Presley Brister hit a double that brought in two runs. A hit by Madison Spencer would tie the game at three before WC went up to bat.
MK Ferguson earned a hit and would eventually get the run score after McKay singled to bring in the winning hit.
Maddy Pant pitched in the win for WC as she struck out 12 batters while Cooper struck out 4 for the Lady Flashes.
Fancher went 2 for 3 at the plate while Ferguson, Morson, McKay and Jackson all had a hit.
Luke and Cooper both had two hits each for St. Al while Brister, McSherry, Theriot and Spencer all had one hit.
