Vicksburg natives Rogers and Davenport are now both playing football at Arkansas Baptist College

Vicksburg natives Floyd Davenport and Willie Rogers Jr. are both playing football at Arkansas Baptist College.

Willie Rogers Jr.:

Rogers is a 2022 graduate of Porter’s Chapel Academy where he was apart of the Eagles’ explosive offense. He led Warren County in receiving yards in 2021, finishing with 686 along with nine touchdowns and was named as PCA’s Male Athlete of the Year.

Floyd Davenport:

Davenport graduated from Warren Central in 2022 where he dominated at the linebacker position. He racked 126 tackles in 2021 and helped the Vikings reach the second round of the playoffs while also making the All-District Team.

Both Rogers and Davenport will be competing for a starting position this Fall. The season is set to begin on Sep. 2.
