St. Aloysius softball team continues their hot streak by taking down Madison St. Joe 20-0 on Monday.

An RBI from Maddy McSherry gave the Lady Flashes their first run along with a steal from Ali G. Luke as they went up 2-0. Singles from McSherry and Kyleigh Cooper would help St. Al pick up four more runs in the second as they went up 6-0.

The third inning began with a single from Megan Theriot and a sacrifice from Cooper that added two runs. McSherry would then hit a triple followed by RBIs from Presley Brister, Ruthie Britton, Marley Gibellino, Cooper and Madison Spencer along with a host of errors that extended St. Al’s lead to 20-0.

The run-rule ended the game early as Cooper and McSherry both went 2 for 3 with four RBIs. Theriot went 2 for 2 while Brister, Raegan Thornell, Britton and Madison Spencer each had a hit.

Cooper struck out five on the night.

The Lady Flashes are now 5-0 and they will travel to Simpson Academy on Tuesday.
