Bicyclist hit by car on Hwy 80

A bicyclist was hit by a car on Hwy 80 near its intersection with Mt Alban on Saturday afternoon.

Just after 4;45 p.m., a bicyclist was hit by a truck on Hwy 80. The truck left the scene of the accident and proceeded west on Hwy 80. It was last seen turning north on Mt. Alban headed towards Culkin Road. The only description given was a white truck.

Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies, including Dustin Keyes and T’onna Sims, were at the scene investigating the accident along with Rescue and Fire Medic 30. Air Care was put on standby but was canceled. Instead, the bicyclist was transported to UMMC with no word on their condition.
