WC ranked in top 10 heading into Friday’s game

Warren Central High School football team is now ranked in the the top 10 in Mississippi.

According to Maxpreps, the Vikings are ranked at No.7 after taking down Clinton last Friday in a 28-7 win. WC’s defense stood solid with Ronnie Blossom and Julien Demby racking up 12 tackles each and Gavin Davenport and Larry Reynolds Jr. bringing in the sacks.

The Viking offense was controlled by the run game which was led by Eric Colllins Jr. Collins rushed for 88 yards while running behind Spencer Smith, Don Taylor, Beau Davis, Nic Westcott and CJ King. They also switched things up the quarterback position with a mixture of Ryan Nelson, Nash Morgan and Maddox Lynch.

On Friday, the Vikings will travel to face Pearl who is coming off a 35-10 win over Neshoba Central.
