Gallery: Flashes pitch in to help with YMCA summer basketball camp

The Vicksburg YMCA held a basketball camp at the Dr. William Kendricks Purks- Steve Golding Family YMCA this week for kids which are part of their summer day camp. St. Aloysius Flashes were on-hand to offer their advice and guidance to the young athletes.

Over 20 twenty kids participated and got the chance to learn to dribble, shoot, pass and many other fundamental skills by St. Aloysius Head Basketball Coach Anthony Lumpkin Sr. and Assistant Head Coach Johnny Williams.

Recently, the YMCA provided gym space for the Flashes while their school gym was being renovated. In exchange, the Flashes donated their time to help host the camp.

St. Aloysius Junior High boy’s basketball team also pitched in with helping the campers.
