On Aug. 21, the Central Mississippi Composite Squadron MS-100 of the Civil Air Patrol will begin meeting at a new location. The squadron has held their meetings at the Hawkins Field Airport location for 50 plus years. Mississippi Wing Headquarters for the Civil Air Patrol will remain at that location.

Our new location will be in Building 236 on the 172d Air National Guard Base located at 141 Military Drive, Jackson. Located on the north side of the main Jackson airport. Our move will provide building space for the unit to continue its steady growth.

The Central Mississippi Composite Squadron is a Civilian nonprofit corporation composed of cadets ranging from 12-21years of age, and adults 21 and older. The Civil Air Patrol offers a hands-on opportunity to learn the core values of: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, and Respect while focusing on all aspects of Aviation. Cadets meet weekly and receive Orientation rides in airplanes and gliders. They also learn to serve their local community as volunteers in Emergency Services. Follow current Unit updates at https://ms100.cap.gov.

An Open House for the public is scheduled on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m. (1800 Local) at our new location. Public is invited.
