17-year-old escapes wreck with minor injuries

The driver of the pickup truck that wrecked on Mt. Alban Road Monday morning escaped the wreckage with only minor injuries.

It is unclear exactly what caused the accident, but the 17-year-old driver reportedly climbed out of the vehicle through the back window after the crash.

She was able to walk and was lucid, conversing with responders on the scene.  The extent of her injuries is unknown, but they are said to be minor.  She was taken to Merit Health River Region for further evaluation.
