17-year-old Mississippi football player died in a car wreck on Wednesday

Raleigh High School football player Isaiah Strickland died in a car wreck on State Route 18 near Sylvarena on Wednesday morning.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a call at around 3:54 a.m. where an 18-wheeler collided with a Chevrolet Avalanche. 17-year-old Strickland died from his injuries and the driver of the 18-wheeler suffered minor injuries.

Many expressed their remorse during this terrible tragedy.
