The Vicksburg YMCA flag football league season ended Tuesday with multiple games being played at Sports Force Park.

The 8- and 9-year-olds battled it out while fighting for the best record in the league. Each team played seven games during the season. Family and friends watched as the kids learned the technique of football before entering the tackle league.

The Rockets faced off the Golden Eagles in the first game. The Golden Eagles  (5-2) came out hot by handing the ball off to Noah Bolton for a 60-yard touchdown. The Rockets could not get into the end zone during the game, which led the Golden Eagles to win 30-0.  The two teams played each other three weeks ago, and that game went into overtime. The Golden Eagles also won that game, 18-12.

The Giants went into action with the Flashes, which ended in a 24-0 Giants win. Coach Wayne Lynch that led the team to a 7-0 season, and the Giants are the only undefeated team in the league.

The Bears and Jaguars played the final game last night. The Jaguars have gotten better since the beginning of the season, but it was not enough to take down the Bears in the last game. It was Bears, 19-0, and a Jaguar loss .

By the end of the games, the young athletes left the ball park ready to sign up for the next sport: YMCA basketball.
